AdlerforAustin.com was intended to introduce a first time candidate, engage, and educate the voters of Austin about Steve Adler’s ability to effective lead the city in a new direction. It was vital that our approach reflected this aesthetically and technologically. With nearly 37% of visitors using mobile devices, we went to great lengths to ensure the clean accessible user experience translated effectively across all platforms and devices.
This site acted as the cornerstone of the communications plan for the Adler for Austin Campaign. Multiple campaign staffers were assigned administrative permissions to manage content in real time, making adlerforaustin.com the official medium for the mayor’s campaign. Journalists, bloggers, and inquiring voters were directed to adlerforaustin.com for the Mayor’s stance on policy issues.

The leading Democratic voice in the Texas Legislature, Sen. Kirk Watson believes Texas can do better and must do better for Texas families. Since 2010, GNI Strategies has provided strategic insight on social media trends, channels and applications to effectively engage the political digital community in Texas. Focusing on his efforts to improve the lives of Texas families, we bridge the gap from offline legislative battles to online advocacy efforts.
GNI developed proprietary WordPress based functionality for Sen. Watson’s new website KirkWatson.com to extend the functionality of social media features.

Former Constable, Sheriff Sally Hernandez ran for Travis County Sheriff in 2016. She was first elected in Travis County as the Constable of Precinct Three, a seat in southwest Travis County in 2012 after she defeated a two-term incumbent.
Sally provided GNI with the opportunity to help her brand her campaign for Sheriff and assist with her digital campaign through social media and email marketing.
As an experienced law enforcement official, Sally provided GNI the opportunity to develop policy focused around important issues like ending the relationship with ICE at our local jails and improving mental health services and access at the jail. This policy was a necessary focus in the campaign to develop our social media and email marketing.
GNI created the branding concepts and designed Sally’s logo and all digital and print materials. GNI also launched an interactive and responsive site for enhanced accessibility to voters across Travis County. With a combination of digital, mail and field, GNI’s campaign strategy led to Sally garnering 51% of the vote needed to avoid a runoff election.

Jovita Pardo is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of GNI Strategies, a boutique political consulting firm. Most recently, Jovita worked to successfully re-elect Judge Nancy Hohengarten, Judge John Lipscombe, and Commissioner Margaret Gomez as well as being an integral part of the team that passed a $925 million bond package for the City of Austin. She also serves as lead consultant to Senator Kirk Watson, as well as a number of local legislative, judicial, and municipal candidates.
Jovita has a Bachelor of Arts degree focused in History from Austin College, a private liberal arts college in Sherman, Texas. She has worked for Austin Mayor Steve Adler, Senator Kirk Watson, Representative Gina Hinojosa, Sheriff Sally Hernandez, and many other local municipal and judicial candidates. Jovita is a native Austinite who enjoys watching and playing soccer, spending time with her dog Luna, and traveling (while not on campaigns).
